Mainly Kitchens

Mainly Kitchens is a family run business owned by Mike Smith, who trained as an architect before starting the business in 1982. Initially the business started out as a design and build service for home extensions and alterations, then progressing into kitchen design and manufacture in the mid 80s.

The business has evolved and developed so that we are able to design and manufacture all manner of fitted and free standing furniture for domestic and commercial requirements from our own workshop.

The new identity was chosen because of its fluid natural feel. Many of the kitchens installed are those incorporating real wood and metal finishes and this balanced well with the new identity. The colour scheme was kept so that those who knew Mainly Kitchens would recognise this aspect of the new logo.

Once finished, the logo was used throughout a stationery pack and is currently being worked into a website design. The logo now features on vehicle livery and workshop signage.
